IFFINA RETURNS FOR 2024 FAIR Empowering Connections: End-to-End Furniture Industry Platform

IFFINA – Indonesia Meubel & Design Expo is making its return this year from September 14th to 17th at the Indonesian Convention Exhibition (ICE). This international trade fair and design exhibition will bring together manufacturers, designers, furniture brands, and crafts, serving as a platform to drive the development of the craftsmanship industry and offer potential business opportunities for exhibitors and buyers. For buyers, IFFINA aims to broaden the platform for export-oriented businesses, including wholesalers, retailers, project owners, architects, interior designers, product designers, and the HORECA industry.

This year, IFFINA will embrace the theme “Sustainable by Design” in response to environmental concerns and the growing awareness within the design world. Through this theme, IFFINA will showcase innovative eco-conscious designs.

The goal of IFFINA is to become an end-to-end platform for the Furniture and Craft Industry. In 2024, IFFINA will collaborate with interzum SEA showcase to present the latest developments in furniture production, woodworking, and design within the Southeast Asian market. This collaboration will prioritize sustainability, aligning with the overall theme of the fair. Given that interzum is the world’s leading trade fair for furniture production and interior design, it highlights groundbreaking technology and revolutionary materials.

During the 2023 iteration of the event, IFFINA welcomed 10,117 visitors, including 1,121 international visitors from 41 countries. Visitors were categorized as trade buyers (38%), procurement professionals (26%), designers/architects (21%), and others such as project managers and retailers. The most popular product categories were furniture (46%), furnishing (22%), and craft (13%), followed by home décor & gifts and lighting accessories. On-site transactions and follow-up orders at IFFINA 2023 were projected to reach USD 200 million, contributing to Indonesian exports to the international market.
